The Catotal Realty and Agricultural Development Corporation, a real estate dealer and developer, is the present entity from a series of business ventures of the late Dr. Fortunato P. Catotal and Anita F. Catotal. The first venture was the Farmacia Catotal established in the early 1960s. This later became the biggest wholesale distributor of medicines covering Eastern Mindanao in the late 1970s. To date the company still holds its office at the same business address at 247 San Pedro St., Davao City. The Company later on ventured into agricultural developments like fruit farms as well as the raising of livestock. These agricultural projects expanded the company’s landholdings and later on led the company to become a successful real estate dealer and developer.  In the early 1990s, the company focused on housing projects as there was an increasing demand for residential units in the rapidly expanding city of Davao. It established its name as a reliable housing developer with projects such as the Flores Village Subdivision, CAFLOR Subdivision, and the Catotal Subdivision. One of the highlights of this period was a billion peso joint venture project in the Cabantian area that the corporation was about to enter with the Fil-Estate Corporation in 1997.  However, the abrupt and severe effect of the Asian crisis disrupted the real estate project. At present, the company is still involved in raising livestock through a contract growing agreement with the San Miguel Foods Inc. It also continues to operate and develop its other agricultural business. The Catotal Realty and Agricultural Development Corporation continues to grow and has diversified to include commercial projects on top of its portfolio of residential and agricultural projects. In addition to developing excl-usive residential communities the company is also involved in joint housing developments for low income communities in Davao city as well as General Santos City. The company has experienced much success in the development of residential communities and it is now marketing its fourth housing project, Annie’s Home and Country Village in Calinan, Davao City.
